Julia Baltin studied tourism geography in Trier. In 2006, she first came to Cologne as a workshop student for ift Freizeit- und Tourismusberatung GmbH. She was taken over by ift in 2007 and initially worked there as a project assistant and from 2014 as a consultant. Here she gained extensive experience in project work: From the analysis and conception of tourism concepts to the implementation, I am looking for evaluation. Her specialty is desktop mapping, i. the use of geographical information systems for the database-supported and cartographic processing of tourist data in the context of spatial supply, demand, competition and potential analyzes.
Since the summer of 2016, she has worked part-time as a project consultant in the context of the nationwide touristic innovation workshop at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Cologne and since then has been working freelance for Montenius Consult.
