After completing an apprenticeship in the hotel and catering industry followed by work experience in Germany and Switzerland, Martina Williams qualified with a diploma in hotel management from the Dortmund School of Hotel Management. Further stepping stones in her career included a position at the German office of a South African group of hotels and a position in the Irish Market Department at the German-Irish Chamber of Industry and Commerce in Dublin, where part of her responsibilities was the organization of chamber events.
Williams was then employed by a property developer specializing in turn-key hotel projects, a position where she acquired valuable skills in project management. She then completed an honours degree in archaeology and Celtic civilization. During her time at college, she developed and conducted archaeological tours at the Castlemartyr Resort in county Cork. After graduation, she was employed in the tourism industry and is currently establishing personalized tours ‘off the beaten track’ for visitors to Ireland.
